التعريف :

To do something that had been omitted although its time has lapsed. For example, a person who forgot to say the basmalah before he starts his meal may say it during the meal.

المعنى الاصطلاحي :

Performing prayer or one of its acts that the worshiper has missed doing at its Shariah-assigned place as long as it permits doing so.

الشرح المختصر :

"Tadāruk" (amending) generally means performing an act of worship or part of it if the worshiper has not done it at its assigned place, as long as he still has the chance to do it. "Tadāruk" could also mean performing a certain action or making a certain statement after its original time or place has passed. Muslim Jurists use the term "tadāruk" to mean "istidrāk", which is performing an act that the person missed intentionally or unintentionally after its assigned time or place.

التعريف اللغوي المختصر :

"Tadāruk": one's attempt to catch up with and reach what they missed. Other meanings: succession, sequence, correction.
